Due to their excellent controllability, electric drives, in contrast to hydraulic or pneumatic drives, are preferred in industry. For the provision of mechanical kinetic energy, the electric motor as the center of the electric drive systems is the driving force in the realization of industrial processes. In order to understand these complex interrelationships that modern drives bring with them, a holistic system approach is needed in which learners learn to understand the interaction of electrical as well as mechanical components and are introduced to practice through the use of different learning systems and methods.

PLC programming according to IEC 61131-3. The training media and the Programmable Logic Controllers equipment set teach the basics of programming programmable logic controllers. A PLC is a prerequisite and is not included in the equipment set.
